Calling all musicians, dancers, actors, writers, puppeteers, creative makers, set designers, eco-sensualists, and interdisciplinary performance artists!
We’ll be creating a beautiful journey with the spirit of the Cherry Valley Creek as our guide.
This is an ensemble production and we will be growing as a community as we develop the work.
We will draw from the community-sourced material gathered at the workshops and online (#cherryvalleywater) and our own developing relationship with the creek to create a performance that winds and wends its way along the valley and through our spirits, hearts and bodies.
We will incorporate multiple disciplines in our experimental site-specific production, so all performance art forms are welcome to apply.
Time commitment: We will meet for 1-2 hours before each of the five workshops throughout the summer (7/9, 7/23, 8/5, 8/6, 8/27). Then we have three sessions to create and finalize the work (9/3, 9/24, 10/1), a dress rehearsal (10/5) and the performance (10/6). A max of two absences will be permitted.
There is an opportunity to tour this performance throughout New York State (dates TBD) and the performance will be filmed.
Compensation: commensurate with experience and travel time.
